| NICE BOATS! Ripple Cove Charters is proud to tell you about our 2 specially designed sportfishing boats - custom made for finding and landing fish in style and comfort. The "Newt-tralizer", is a new 30' x 12' Newton Boat. The "Newt-tralizer" was designed specifically for Ripple Cove Charters and the surrounding Southeast Alaska fishing grounds after a visit here by our good friend and Newton Boats' owner, Larry Newton. It includes custom features, such as: extra-thick fiberglass, foam fill, a cabin roof overhang in the cockpit, and a deep keel to smooth the ride and sharpen the turning. Like all Newton boats, it is both fast and stable! It's equipped with two Yamaha 225, 4-stroke outboard engines and a trolling motor. The 12 foot beam on the "Newt" makes her very roomy. Inside, there is a step-down v-berth which has a head and sleeps two comfortably. In the warm, dry cabin there is a large dinette which folds down into a queen berth, as well as a heater, sink, and double helm seat with a full tackle center. The "Newt-tralizer" has state-of-the-art Furuno electronics, including a radar, chart-plotter, and depth/ fishfinder. In the spacious cockpit, she has a hydraulic engine used to power the anchor wench and crab-pot puller. The "Newt-tralizer" was built in Slidell, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans, home to Ripple Cove Charter's owners.
