WELCOME TO RIPPLE  COVE CHARTERS.

Ripple Cove Charters is a full service fishing lodge. We offer all-inclusive 3, 4, and five day trips. We are located in Gustavus, Alaska, just 50 miles west of Juneau.

Although Gustavus is a small town of about 350 full-time residents, we have seasonal 737 Alaska Airlines jet service from Juneau beginning June 13th. Several small airlines also fly into Gustavus from Juneau. Gustavus is the gateway to Glacier Bay National Park.

There are many charter companies in Gustavus. We hope you'll choose Ripple Cove. We pride ourselves in keeping our prices reasonable and offering first-class service. We serve one fishing group at a time (4-12 people) so we can cater to your needs.

There are three reasons you’ll rave about Gustavus...

The first is the terrific fishing. More halibut is caught here per sportfishing angler than anywhere else in Alaska. We also have a terrific silver salmon run (and are close to great ling cod, rockfish, and king salmon grounds).

The second is that we fish in relatively protected waters. We fish in the Icy Straits which has mountains on two sides with various islands in the middle. In the five years we’ve been in business, we’ve never cancelled for weather. Guests remark at how calm the water is the majority of the time.

The third is that you are within moments of fishing when you board the boat. You can use your precious time fishing, not getting to the fishing grounds.

As you’ll see when viewing our website, we have large new boats. It’s always nice to be comfortable while fishing. We also have Alaskan captains, as local knowledge is essential.

Our upscale lodge, the Fish-R-Inn, opened in 2006 and provides you with all the comforts of home with gourmet, Cajun- inspired cooking. The Flight Deck, our second lodge, will open late this summer. We pride ourselves in keeping our rates low. Over 60 percent of our customers return each year or every other year.

We are flexible when booking trips. You can choose a 3, 4, or 5 day combination fishing/ lodging package. We don’t have set days that you have to arrive or depart. You can even stay an extra day or two if you’d like to view Glacier Bay National Park or to fish in some of the local rivers.

We also offer daily fishing trips for those of you staying locally. Our captain will work with you to target the fish you’re after, whether it be Giant Pacific Halibut, Acrobatic Silver Salmon, Huge King Salmon, or fascinating Ling Cod and Rockfish.
