Hiking & Walking
Thomas Imboden
Thomas is one of Gustavus' NATURALISTS, whose interests
include hiking, walking, and kayaking. He has lived in Gustavus for over 15 years. One of his greatest joys is showing visitors to Gustavus the region's varied dayhikes and trail system. Since there really are few actual trodden
trails, dayhiking around Gustavus and within the park is really a matter of knowing which general routes to take.
His knowledge has offorded him the opportunity to write the only book on these hikes entitled simply "TRAILS OF GLACIER
BAY AND GUSTAVUS", available at many of the local gift shops and the Bear Track Mercantile.
In addition to dayhiking excursions, Thomas also guides simple 1 day kayaking trips to Pleasant Island or around Bartlett Cove nearby Gustavus.
To speak with Thomas, contact him by telephone: (907) 697-2425, or Fax: (907) 697-2450
